The Community Coalition is the exciting result of innovative financial cooperation and was formed in 1991 with two purposes:

To create a collaborative, streamlined low-overhead model for cooperative fundraising among non-profits so that more of every donated dollar would go directly to the work of greatest priority.

To insure that member organizations provide increased affordable and transitional housing, employment assistance to marginalized community members, one-to-one advocacy for people with disabilities, child care and family support, tutoring and recreation for at-risk youth, and promotion of cultural and civic life – in innovative ways that respect and enhance the dignity of every individual.
